BEAVERTON, Ore. - There's a new addition to the Nike Method putter franchise and it has a dark side. Nike Golf is introducing the Nike Method Midnight putter that features Nike's polymetal groove technology in new milled head shapes with a dark chrome finish. The putter will be offered in three new models: Method Midnight 006, 007 and 008.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Marriott Golf announced a new military golf program called “Fairways-Fore-Freedom” on Friday. In celebrating America's armed forces, the program provides active, reserve and retired military personnel with both free and discount golf at over 25 Marriott golf courses throughout the United States.

The program starts on Friday, May 25, in honor of Memorial Day weekend and runs through Veteran’s Day on Monday, Nov. 12. As part of the program, members of the armed forces that present a valid military ID card can take advantage of discounted “twilight” green fees/carts, ranging from $29-$69, while receiving a free replay certificate for another day.

Callaway Announces Golf GPS Device

CARLSBAD, Calif. - Callaway Golf Company announced that its new golf GPS device will be available in stores May 30. Called the upro mx+, the device is the first on the market to use ProMode technology, giving golfers actual aerial imagery and video flyovers of each hole. Golfers will be able to purchase the device for $249 with no additional fees.

Each device will come with access to free and unlimited ProMode course downloads. A compact, three-ounce device boasting a full-color, 2.2" LCD touch screen, the upro mx+'s updated software also features Anypoint Technology, which helps golfers strategically plan their upcoming shots.
