Experience The New Las Sendas!

Las Sendas Golf ClubIn 1995, Las Sendas Golf Club opened to rave reviews and quickly took its place as both Mesa’s and the East Valley’s premier golf facility. Las Sendas was designed by architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. and holds the special distinction of being his first Arizona creation.

The course itself is a demanding, desert-style par-71 layout that winds its way through an exclusive, master-planned community and the area’s scenic Usery Mountains. Las Sendas has consistently been rated in the Top 10 in Arizona and according to two Zagat Surveys, is the 12th most challenging and one of the top 100 courses in the nation. With six sets of tee boxes, it’s still very fair for the mid to high handicapper.

Last November Lloyd and Wayne McBean, Ken Elias and Ian Warrack all from Calgary, Alberta Canada along with Phoenix native John Musil, purchased the club.

Their plan was to purchase the course, remodel the facilities, pave the cart paths and provide the necessary improvements expected at a world-class golf facility.

The consortium’s ingenious business model was to raise additional funds by syndicating 50 percent of the assets to local residents, friends and family. In just 19 days, the ownership group sold all of the investment units and funded their entire project. Las Sendas Golf Club is now a debt free facility with an incredible upside.

Three dining establishments, including the fine-dining Bogey’s Steak & Seafood, have already opened. A state-of-the art golf shop as well as member locker room facilities are scheduled to open this fall. The 2nd phase of the capital improvement plan includes additional banquet facilities private card rooms, member’s health club and a new patio dining deck.

Located at 7555 E. Eagle Crest Drive, at the intersections of Power and Thomas Roads in Mesa, Las Sendas Golf Club is less than 20 minutes from Sky Harbor Airport and readily accessible from all parts of the Valley.
