Summer Fun at Augusta Ranch Golf Club

Summer is almost here, and for those parents out there, that means one thing—finding ways to keep your kids active and occupied during the summer break. Augusta Ranch Golf Club in Mesa has just the answer.

This kid-friendly executive course (18 holes, par 61) offers a multitude of kidoriented and family-fun programs to keep the children busy and having fun during the summer, starting with its longstanding Junior Golf rate.

Juniors ages 17 and under can play 18 holes at Augusta Ranch for just $5 a day, not just in the summer, but ANY TIME of the year! That shows the commitment that Augusta Ranch has to kids and the game of golf.

“We are a true neighborhood golf course, and we try to find as many ways as possible for kids and families to have an enjoyable experience at Augusta Ranch, especially during the summer months,” said Don Rea, owner and operator of Augusta Ranch Golf Club. “It is important to get kids started in golf early. That’s why we have made it affordable so all kids have the opportunity to play regularly.”

From junior clinics and golf camps to nighttime family-oriented fun nights, Augusta Ranch has you covered this summer to help keep your children active and entertained.

Augusta Ranch is offering a special fourmonth Junior Golf Pass, which is good May-August. The pass costs only $199 and includes unlimited golf and a punch card good for 20 lunches ($140 value) at the Magnolia Room restaurant. For parents who want to make it a family affair and join their kids on the course, Augusta Ranch is offering a four-month family pass (good for four people) for only $299, as well as an individual golf pass for just $99.

For those looking to learn about the game of golf or who just want to improve their play, Augusta Ranch offers a special junior golf clinic every Saturday during the summer for kids ages 14 and under. These hour-long clinics cost only $5 and will cover a golf rule and etiquette tip, followed by hands-on instruction.

If you haven’t seen or heard of SNAG, which stands for Starting New at Golf, it’s definitely a must-do this summer. SNAG clinics are held every Saturday and are open to people of all ages (yes, parents too), and offer an enjoyable way to learn the game of golf. SNAG is a cross between miniature golf and regulation golf, and has its own simplified rules, terminology and equipment. It’s a great way to get your kids interested in golf, and it is perfect if you are looking for inexpensive fun for the entire family.

Along with its Junior Golf Clinics, Augusta Ranch also holds golf camps for juniors during the summer months. The three-day camps are held in June and July, and cover three different skill levels. All golfers will receive a hat, shirt, daily snacks and beverages, along with the golf instruction. This is a fantastic option for those kids who play golf but want more instruction to help take their games to the next level.

In an effort to unite the neighbors and surrounding community, Augusta Ranch holds a fun-filled Family Night once a month. It’s a chance to mingle and meet your friends and neighbors while enjoying some great food and drinks. Bounce houses and arts and crafts are available to keep the kids occupied, and on occasion, Family Nights turn into Family Movie Nights, where families can gather at the Augusta Ranch driving range to watch a movie on the big screen.

As you can see, Augusta Ranch has many entertaining programs to offer this summer, whether it is something strictly for the kids or for the entire family. Along with these programs, Rea and his staff are always looking for other creative ideas for family fun, so make sure to check the Augusta Ranch website ( or Facebook page ( ) for other activities and specials.
