The Beaver Creek Golf ClubJamey Lewis, PGA Golf Professional, has accepted the position of PGA, Director of Golf at Beaver Creek Golf Club in Lake Montezuma.

“I am excited for the opportunity to create a vision and implement a game plan to help Beaver Creek Golf Club become a premier golf experience in the Northern Arizona”, said Jamey Lewis.

The Beaver Creek Golf Club is located just minutes from Montezuma’s Castle, Cliff Castle Casino, and only a 20-minute drive from the Village of Oak Creek, Lewis’s focus will be on developing a golf program to accommodate local golfers as well as tourists.

“With the price of golf in Sedona sky-rocketing, Beaver Creek provides an excellent option for golfers who have had enough with escalating daily green fees”, says Lewis.

Lewis’s primary focus will be on cost-effective improvements to the golf course, effective marketing and the offering of attractive tournament packages.  He also intends to work closely with the Lake Montezuma golfing community to create fun and competitive golf tournaments and provide these golfers more of a “country club” feel.

“I am very excited to work with owner/general manager Peter Hill to put Beaver Creek Golf Club on the map.  I have always believed that if an owner and golf professional are on the same page, and share the same vision, positive changes can and will happen.  This cooperative teamwork gives me great optimism about our abilities to take this facility to the next level”, says Lewis.

Spending the 12 years as a golf professional in the Sedona area, Lewis is recognized for developing and conducting top-notch golf tournaments for Northern Arizona.

“Beaver Creek Golf Club possesses exceptional amenities combining a championship golf course layout with exceptional food and beverage services at the facility’s historical Ranch House Restaurant.  It is a combination that will allow us to provide an enjoyable experience by creating tournaments for all types and skill levels of golfers,” says Lewis.

Local businesses and charities are encouraged to give Beaver Creek Golf Club a call soon to set up their golf outings for 2008.
