Celebrities Announced For Jerry Colangelo's NIAF Chairman's Golf Invitational

Phoenix, Arizona — National Italian American Foundation Chairman Jerry Colangelo announced the celebrity list for his National Italian American Foundation’s (NIAF) Chairman’s Golf Invitational which will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Wigwam Golf Resort.

Slated to participate/golf are past Phoenix Suns playing greats Alvan Adams, Tom Chambers and Dan Majerle as well as colorful, former assistant coach Al Bianchi. Basketball Hall of Famers Bob Lanier and Wayne Embry will also appear.

Former Oakland A’s all-star and world champion Sal Bando and Senior Vice President of Major League Baseball Joe Garagiola, Jr. will represent “the boys of summer”. They’ll be joined by popular ex-Arizona Diamondbacks Mark Grace, Todd Stottlemyre and Jay Bell.

Also confirmed are former Arizona Cardinal Pro Bowler Ron Wolfley; James Beard Award-Winning Chef Chris Bianco and numerous local media members.

“We’ve already assembled an impressive group of celebrities and their presence will unquestionably make this NIAF golf event even more memorable, “Colangelo said.

Golf slots for twosomes, foursomes and even singles still exist. In addition to playing opportunities, corporate sponsorship packages are available. Proceeds from the Chairman’s Golf Invitational will go directly into NIAF’s programs.
