Stacie Bryan Named Director of Player Development at Longbow Golf Club

Arizona State University alum, Stacie Bryan, takes over the newly created position of Director of Player Development at Longbow Golf Club an OB Sports-managed facility located in Mesa, Arizona. As Director of Player Development, Bryan will spearhead a golf outreach program designed to introduce novice golfer to the game as wells as help avid golfers play better and ultimately enjoy the game more.

Bryan will make appearances at schools and youth organizations in the neighborhoods surrounding Longbow in an effort to proactively draw students to the game of golf. Then, through her ongoing complement of lessons, clinics and demonstrations, Bryan will teach her pupils the requisite skills to set a solid foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment of the game of golf. As an accomplished colligate golfer at the University of Hawaii, Bryan not only produces results for novice golfers, her first-hand competitive experience allows her to effectively coach avid golfers as well.

"Although Stacie is quite skilled in delivering quality instruction in the traditional one-on-one format to an avid-type golf clientele, the main thrust of her Director of Player Development position will be to introduce new golfers to the game and help them learn the skills, rules and etiquette that lie at its foundation"

Bryan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University in 1991, and in 1993 she joined the LPGA and started her teaching career under the tutelage of the famed golf instruction duo of Sandy and Mike LaBauve at Stonecreek Golf Club located in Phoenix, Arizona! . After that (1998) she moved over to SunRidge Canyon Golf Club in Fountain Hills, Arizona where she developed and taught junior golf programs, private instruction and created ladies clinics. More recently, Bryan was a teaching professional at Hunting Hawk Golf Club (2001) located in Richmond, Virginia, and in 2004 she moved back to Phoenix where she held the position of West Coast Sales Manager for Robert Bryan Ltd. in the firms Green Grass Apparel Sales department until 2007.

"After a few years in the golf merchandise business, I’m excited to get back into the teaching arena," said Bryan. "The interaction with the students and the satisfaction of introducing the game of golf is a compelling way to make a living. I just love it."
