TPC Scottsdale to conduct a food drive to benefit Foothills Food Bank through September 3rd

Underscoring the PGA TOUR’s giving back mission, the TOUR’s TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona will conduct a “Golf Fore Groceries” food drive through September 3, 2009 to benefit Foothills Food Bank.

The event is part of United We Serve, a nationwide service initiative which marks the beginning of a sustained, collaborative and focused effort to meet community needs and make service a way of life for all Americans. In addition to the food drive at TPC Scottsdale, similar food drives will take place at events across the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour, Nationwide Tour, and at TPC Clubs throughout the country.

WHAT:       Non-perishable food donations may be dropped off at TPC Scottsdale during the hours of 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Stadium Golf Shop.  We are also offering discounted rates, at each course, for food donations. 
 
Bring in 5 canned goods at either course and receive a discounted green fee:

Stadium Course - $50 + tax, per person
 
Champions Course - $37+ tax, per person before noon or just $25.50 + tax, per person after noon

WHY:           Donations received at TPC Scottsdale will benefit the Foothills Food Bank and Resource Center in Cave Creek, Arizona. The Food Bank was founded in 1988 by several churches and the Foothills Community Foundation. They provide emergency food to the needy in the Northeast Valley of Maricopa County.
