Brackenridge Park Golf Course

Located near the heart of San Antonio in Brackenridge Park, this golf course is the oldest 18-hole municipal golf course in the nation, having opened for play in 1916. Brackenridge Park Golf Course is the first inductee into the Texas Golf Hall of Fame of Historic Golf Courses, for originating and hosting the first Texas Open Golf Tournament and it being played here until 1959. In 1968 the golf course was completely renovated and remodeled and now plays 6,490 yards from the championship tees. Come play where numerous legends of golf got their start and to soak in the historical golf pride that fills the walls of the unique lodge-like clubhouse. The course has a 36-36-72 layout and has a USGA rating of 67.0.

Cedar Creek Golf Course

Cedar Creek Golf Course opened for play in November 1989 and is located northwest of San Antonio. A unique golf course with hill and dale terrain which also hosts a most spectacular view from the clubhouse. Cedar Creek has been ranked in the top half of just about every golf survey, including Golf Digest. The course measures 7,150 yards from the championship tees and is Par 72. The USGA rating is 74.0 and total acres = 174.5. Cedar Creek offers an on-site driving range as well.

Mission del Lago Golf Course

Mission del Lago opened in September 1989. The golf course features numerous water hazards and sand bunkers and is highlighted by native grasses. With a beautiful landscaped view, Mission del Lago is a link-styled course with several holes situated along Mitchell Lake, making the wind come into play. Featuring four sets of tees, a Par total of 72 and the championship tees at 7,285 total yards, Mission del Lago is one of San Antonio’s best kept secrets. Offering an on-site driving range, the USGA rating is 72.6 and total acres = 182.7.

Olmos Basin Golf Course

North of Brackenridge Park, this course is nestled in the Olmos Basin Flood Plain. It was opened for play in 1963 with a championship 18-hole layout, it’s a test for even the best golfer. This golf course has been the site for many major tournaments, to include the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour. Par is 72 and the length from the championship tees is 6,894 yards. The USGA rating is 71.0 and the total acres = 167.0.

Riverside Golf Course

Riverside Golf Course was built in 1929 as a 9-hole golf course but was expanded to a regulation 9 and 11 Par 3 holes in 1961. The course now features a fascinating championship 18-hole layout and 9 Par 3 holes as a result of reconstruction that took place in 1971. It is truly a family golf center with a variety of golf holes to meet the needs of all ages. Par is 72 and is 6,602 yards from the championship tees. The USGA rating is 72.0 and total acres = 175.8.

Willow Springs Golf Course

This golf course is located along Salado Creek in the eastern part of San Antonio. It was built in 1923 as a private golf course and was purchased by the City of San Antonio in 1945. The course features wide, open fairways, large greens and elevation changes from tee to green. Willow Springs has also been the scene of several Texas Open Golf Tournaments and is known for the longest Par 5 in the city at 663 yards! Par is 72 and it measures 7,085 yards from the championship tees. The USGA rating is 73.7 and the total acres = 188.6.
