Be a Part of the Vaaler Creek Tradition

Vaaler CreekDirector of Golf Adam Grosch can envision a day when the Rockin’ J Ranch development will look like a well-established neighborhood, kids and their parents will escape the sweltering Texas summers in the community pool and golfers will settle their bets on a deck overlooking the 18th green that extends out from a new clubhouse.

While Vaaler Creek Golf Club and the community it serves are only in their infancy, developers continue the step-by step process that will transform the Texas Hill Country’s newest golf destination into a self-contained oasis for recreation seekers, avid golfers and families.

The full complement of 18 holes has only been open to the public and members since Independence Day 2009, and while a wet winter and spring provided the nourishment for the course to reemerge in fantastic shape this summer, the best is yet to come.

As this rolling layout with challenging and memorable holes accented by a variety of water features matures, it’s expected to rank as one of the best in the Austin-San Antonio area.

Purchasing land within the Rockin’ J Ranch development typically includes a golf membership at Vaaler Creek. The community is currently entering its sixth and final phase of development, and plots of land could sell out within a year. It’s defi itely prime time to purchase property or become a member at Vaaler Creek.

Other improvements expected to debut in the near future are the community pool (late summer) and a pavilion that will improve the club’s ability to handle tournaments while enhancing the food and beverage operation.

Long-term plans include an expansive clubhouse that will rest on the bank of a pond and overlook the 18th hole. “That’s the last piece of the puzzle,” said Grosch.

Vaaler Creek is open for daily-fee play, tournaments and outings. Located in Blanco, the layout is well worth the drive from Austin and San Antonio.
