First Annual Junior Golf Shootout

July 13th – 15th 2010
Flying L Guest Ranch, Bandera, Texas



Who Can Play:
The Cowboy Capital Junior Shootout is open to all boys and girls ages 7-18. Players do not have to qualify to participate. College players who have not reached the age of 19 are eligible to play. All players will be notified of their acceptance in the tournament by email after receiving the entry in Bandera.

Pace of Play:
We want the pace of play to be a positive feature and we will continue to make improvements. We will emphasize the pace of play for both the players and the caddies. We will use USGA standards for monitoring the pace.

Players wanting to play up must make note on the Registration Form under “LIST DIVISION IF YOU WANT TO PLAY UP.”
Girls:     7-8  9-10  11  12  13  14  15  16  17  Championship
Boys:    7-8  9-10  11  12  13  14  15  16  17  Championship

Division Status: Open, Waiting List, and Closed

Entry Fee:    $150 (early bird special) before April 1st, 2010
                   $180 after April 1st, 2010

Each player will receive a tournament package. Nike Cap, Tee Shirt and Golf Balls, Dinner for players and family members on Tues. and Wed. Entry into the water park and putt putt (Tues.- Thurs Only)

Refund Policy:
Full refund if notified prior to April 1st 2010 by email only. $100 refund will be granted if notified prior to June 1st 2010 by email only. No refund granted after June 1st 2010.

Waiting List Policy:
Waiting List players will be notified by email when we have an opening in their respective division to confirm registration. Don’t give up hope if you are we will have players on the Waiting List make it into the tournament.

Girls ages 7-10 and Boys ages 7-10 will play nine holes Tuesday through Thursday. Girls 11- Championship and Boys 11-Championship will play 18 holes Tuesday through Thursday.

Awards are based on the number of participants per age group (minimum of three awarded per age group with a maximum 5 trophies.

Yes, Caddies Are Allowed! Caddies may be relatives, friends, etc. Caddies may rent a cart to carry the player’s bag, but the player must walk. Spectators cannot ride with caddie.

Caddies will be required to wear an “official caddie” T-shirt. There will be no exceptions and this applies to all three days!

Cart Rental Fees & Guidelines:
$20 (Includes Caddies or Spectators)

Caddies may share carts only with other caddies. Children not participating between ages 6 & under ride with a caddy. Spectators may share carts only with other spectators.

Please note the course has a limited number of golf carts available.

Golf Attire:
Only acceptable golf attire is allowed. Tank tops, fish nets or any other articles of clothing that are inappropriate will NOT be allowed. The Flying L Guest Ranch reserves the right to determine appropriateness. Golf shirts with collars are required or Sports Mocs at the Flying L Guest Ranch.


No pets are allowed on the course during tournament play.

Yardage-Measuring Devices

Yardage-measuring devices are allowed in the tournament. Refer to Rule14-3 Artificial Devices, Unusual Use of Equipment

Registration for the 2010 Shootout begins February 1, 2010

How do I register?
You can download the registration form online beginning February 1st at www.flyingl.com. Then it can be sent by FAX: to (830) 796-8455 or by mail to Flying L Guest Ranch P. O. Box 1959 Bandera, Texas 78003.

Can I play up?
Yes, but you must indicate the group in which you wish to play in on your entry form under Special Requests.

Are there practice rounds?
You can contact the course for a practice round one week prior to the tournament. Discounted green fees are available for registered players only. Players will be responsible for setting up their own practice rounds.

What is the history of the Cowboy Capital Junior Shootout?
This is the first annual Cowboy Capital Junior Shootout and we hope it will be a big success for years to come.
