Franklin Templeton Returns as Title Sponsor of Greg Norman's PGA TOUR Event

Tournament Back in Naples for 11th Year December 7-11

NAPLES, Fla. – Franklin Templeton and tournament host Greg Norman announced today an agreement in which Franklin Templeton Investments will be the title sponsor of Southwest Florida’s PGA TOUR event. The agreement covers the 2011 and 2012 events.

The Shootout, which has been a mainstay on the TOUR for 22 years, will return to Naples for an 11th year December 7-11 at Tiburon Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort. The event raises funds and awareness for a variety of local and national charities.

Franklin Templeton was the title sponsor of the Shootout from 1992 through 2005 and has been a corporate partner since the Shootout’s inception.

Throughout its history, the Shootout has included many of golf’s greatest players. The field will consist of 24 professionals paired into 12 two-man teams. Widely regarded as the PGA TOUR’s premier post-season event, the Franklin Templeton Shootout will once again feature a modified alternate-shot format during the first round, a better ball Saturday and a final-round scramble. This year, Golf Channel will televise Friday and NBC will broadcast the weekend competition.
