International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) Presents IJGT at Sanctuary Golf Club

Beaufort, SC – On February 26-27, the International Junior Golf Tour will host the 2011 Sanctuary Cat Island Tournament at the beautiful Sanctuary Golf Club in Beaufort, SC.

Sanctuary Golf Club This challenging and picturesque course will witness the stellar play of a large and prestigious field of talented junior golfers. This will be IJGT’s first time playing at the stunning Sanctuary Golf Club on Cat Island.

The newly renovated course at Sanctuary will prove to be both challenging and exciting as well as offering great views of the Beaufort river and a diverse array of wildlife.

Major Championship at World Golf VillageIn the Boys U-14 Division, Albano Valentino (San Juan, Argentina) will be looking for his first victory of the year. Albano’s game has been firing on all cylinders recently with a number of top finishes and an impressive second place at the Major Championship at World Golf Village in January. Valentino shows great composure time and time again on the golf course and it is only a matter of time before this young Argentinean starts taking home titles.

The Boys 15- 19 Division will feature a number of notable players. Patrick Skakel (Solihull, UK) is coming off his first victory of the year, taking home the first place trophy at Eagles Pointe in Bluffton, SC. Skakel’s performance at Eagles Pointe proves that he can elevate his game during big moments. Poom Pattaropong (Bangkok, Thailand) looks to make another impressive finish after placing in the top five at TPC Tampa Bay. Matt Moucharafieh (Beirut, Lebanon) will display his talents as well as his colorful fashion style as he looks to win another championship. Moucharafieh won the 3rd Annual Hank Haney Invitational with incredible shot making and perseverance. He is currently in 3rd place for IJGT merit points and he looks to keep his foot on the gas going into Sanctuary at the end of February.

In the ladies divisions, Nicole Autrique Lopez (Atizipan Zaragoza) is coming off her best finish of the year with a 3rd place showing at TPC Tampa Bay. Autrique Lopez has been shaping her game and her swing is looking to be damaging for her competitors. Emma Parsons (Chapel Hill, NC) will look to battle the field again and she could be a top choice to take home the crown. With a top finish at St. James Plantation and a second place finish at Eagles Pointe, Parsons is no stranger to success. Christina Paulsen (Ridgewood, NJ) and a number of talented ladies will be playing for bragging rights and IJGT Merit Points on February 26-27 in beautiful Bluffton, SC.

These young ladies and gentlemen will showcase plenty of skill, determination, and great sportsmanship as the International Junior Golf Tour moves into Sanctuary Golf Club on Cat Island.
