Tiger Woods claims 76th PGA Tour win at Doral

Tiger Woods held off the field in the final round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral for his 76th career PGA Tour win. Wrapping up a dominant 19-under showing at the Blue Monster, Woods fired a 71 on Sunday. Two bogeys on the back nine brought Woods closer to the pack but he still edged Steve Stricker by two strokes.

According to Golfweek, Woods had never surrendered a lead of three or more strokes when atop the leaderboard at the start of the final round. That streak continues. Woods picked up his 75th PGA win at Torrey Pines in January.

With two PGA wins to his credit already in the 2013 season, Woods is positioning himself for a big year. His chase for Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 career majors resumes in April at the Masters. Woods won his 14th major at the U.S. Open in 2008 but has faced high-profile problems on and off the course in the years since.

With two wins in three PGA Tour starts in 2013, Woods appears to be getting with it again.
