TaylorMade Burner Superfast Driver

TaylorMade's Burner SuperFast DriverSince it was introduced to the golf community in 2007, the TaylorMade Burner series has become one of the most successful driver and fairway wood franchises in the game. The latest incarnation of these moderately-priced clubs is the Burner Superfast, boasting a lighter weight that results in longer drives.

Fourteen grams lighter than the ‘07 and ‘09 Burner models (284 grams), the Burner SuperFast has been hailed by the TaylorMade creative team as the lightest driver they've ever produced. This slimmed down design allows golfers to generate more zing at impact as the ball "explodes off the clubface" with awesome distance.

A lighter shaft, club head and grip (the new Winn Lite grip that comes standard weights just 30 grams) combined with above average (46.5 inch) shaft length gives the Burner SuperFast the perfect recipe for increased speed and distance.

To compensate for the increased swing velocity, the club face on the Burner SuperFast has been enlarged by 14 percent when compared to the ‘09 Burner. This increases the odds of solid contact and allows for more forgiveness on off-center hits.

"The larger face gives you more area to strike the ball with, which is a distinct advantage," says Todd Beach, senior director of metalwood development for TaylorMade.

Now available, the Burner SuperFast driver will be offered in three lofts (9.5, 10.5 and High Trajectory) and five shaft flexes (L, M, R, S, X). It's expected to retail for $299.
