Adams Idea Tech IronsFor the better or aspiring player who wants tour-proven performance with forgiveness in their golf clubs, Adams Golf introduces a premium lineup of products that includes the Insight Tech a4 Driver and Hybrid-Fairway Wood and the Idea Tech a4 Hybrids and Forged Irons. These latest offerings feature the highest quality materials and premium shafts that discerning golfers appreciate as well as a track record of success and acceptance by PGA Tour pros.

Insight Tech a4 Driver and Hybrid-Fairway Wood

The Insight Tech a4 Driver has been in the bag of many PGA Tour professionals this summer as the 9015D prototype, receiving its first win on tour in July at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee, Wisc. The development of this product began through consultation and testing with the Long Drivers of America in an effort to produce a driver built for distance. A 15-gram external weight is positioned on the rear sole to achieve optimal launch conditions resulting in greater distance, increased forgiveness and workability. With a classic, pear-shape design, the Insight Tech a4 has the look and feel better players want along with the high performance they demand from their driver.

a4 Insight Tech Driver"This driver appeals to the long drivers, tour pros and the recreational golfer, all of which are looking for more distance, straighter shots and better feel and sound," said Scott Burnett, senior design engineer of Adams Golf metalwoods. "It was in play on tour much earlier than we expected and the word spread quickly in the locker room that we had something very special. When we saw the great results and heard the tremendous feedback we moved quickly to bring this product to the consumer."

Adding more innovation into what had become a stagnant fairway wood category, Adams Golf developed the Insight Tech a4 Hybrid-Fairway Wood that features the mass properties to match the high performance drivers and hybrids that today's golfers are playing with. By utilizing internal heel-toe weighting and advanced BoxerÔ shaping technology, this hybrid-fairway wood delivers maximum MOI that's 20% higher than conventional fairway woods. The maraging steel face is 12% thinner than stainless steel and helps achieve higher ball speeds and greater distance. With a blade length of a hybrid, this new club has a 33% larger face area than most conventional fairway woods, yet the sole camber is similar to those fairway woods which helps reduce turf interaction for better contact.

Idea Tech a4 Hybrids and Hybrid Irons

Expanding on its position as the maker of the #1 hybrid irons in golf, Adams Golf developed the Idea Tech a4 Hybrids and Forged Irons to meet the needs of better or aspiring players. The two hybrids feature the Boxer Technology shaping that allows for increased forgiveness and distance while maintaining a confidence-inspiring look at address. Built with a high-strength, maraging steel face for a hotter ball flight, a thin crown that helps distribute weight for ideal launch conditions, and an adjustable sole weight screw for swingweight adjustments, the Idea Tech a4 Hybrids are specifically designed for maximum playability and forgiveness.

The six Idea Tech a4 Forged Irons included in the set features the lowest CG and highest MOI in its class for improved launch conditions and forgiveness. A four-way cambered sole design reduces head rotation and enhances workability. A quad-cavity back design pushes weight to the perimeter for added forgiveness while a forged stabilizer bar in the cavity gives the golfer incredible feel and feedback. And the milled scorelines deliver optimal spin from all conditions and lies.

"The Idea Tech a4 Hybrid Iron set is a world-class product that will appeal to a wide range of players, including the game's best like Rory Sabbatini, Brad Bryant, and Tommy Gainey to name a few," said Michael Vrska, senior design engineer. "We spared nothing when we designed this set and our expertise in hybrid iron set technology is definitely on display the first time you hit these clubs – there's nothing out there that will match the performance, playability and appearance of this set."
