Adams Idea HybridThe 2008 PGA Tour season began with Adams Golf at the top of the hybrid count at the first tournament of the year, the Mercedes Championship in Hawaii, and 39 tournaments, including four major championships later, Adams Golf remained at the top as the hybrid leader on the PGA Tour.

It was a banner year for the company with over 1,400 of its Idea hybrids having been played by the best players in the world. Adams Golf hybrids accounted for 31 percent of all hybrids in play this year, according to the Darrell Survey Equipment Count, compared to 23 percent by the next closest competitor, and 9 percent by the third place company. The Darrell Survey is an organization that has been conducting official golf equipment counts for 75 years.

Never before had Adams Golf led the hybrid count (labled as utility irons/hybrid woods by the Darrell Survey) at any major championship, but that changed this season as Idea hybrids topped the hybrid counts at the Masters, U.S. Open, British Open and PGA Championship. Adding to the company's accomplishments were the 14 tournament champions, including the FedEx Cup Champion, who played Adams Golf hybrids en route to their victories.

No. 1 Hybrid at PGA Tour Q-School

With 75 Idea hybrids in play at the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament, Adams Golf dominated the hybrid count at this very important and grueling six-round event. The next closest competitor in the count had 22 of its hybrids played, according to the Darrell Survey. This was the third year in a row that Adams Golf claimed the No. 1 hybrid played at Q-School.

With so much at stake, many of the players who put their trust in Idea hybrids earned their 2009 PGA Tour cards. In fact, nine of the players who qualified, including the first-place finisher, had Idea hybrids in their bags.
