adidas Golf Introduces TOUR360 3.0

adidas Golf Tour 360CARLSBAD, Calif. - adidas Golf has introduced TOUR360 3.0, which, like TOUR360 and TOUR360 II before it, combines contemporary design with modern performance technologies. The result is a golf shoe that performs as beautifully as it looks.

First and foremost, TOUR360 3.0 features adidas Golf's proprietary 360WRAP, a visible technology that surrounds the midfoot area to promote enhanced upper stability, a glove-like fit and increased leverage. New to 360WRAP technology for the TOUR360 3.0 is three-dimensional molding, which allows the saddle to hug the midfoot more securely than ever before. This 3D fit is also the basis of the TOUR360 3.0's external molded Heel Cup technology. Inspired by cycling shoes, which enhance power transfer to the pedals with secure heel-fit systems, the three-dimensionally molded external heel-counter locks the foot in place and eliminates heel slippage, optimizing the golfer's power transfer.

TOUR360 3.0 is the second member of the TOUR360 line of footwear to incorporate adidas Golf's revolutionary THiNTech technology, joining TOUR360 LTD. THiNTech, created at the request of tour professionals, incorporates a one-piece TPU sole designed to position the foot closer to the ground, which creates a remarkably solid, responsive and stable shoe that makes hitting a golf ball a more tactile experience. It also lowers the athlete's center of gravity to promote increased stability, and channels feedback from the ground more efficiently to promote improved footwork. That helps the athlete hit the ball more solidly, more often.

TOUR360 3.0 footwear also incorporates adidas Golf's full footbed POWERBAND CHASSIS and split outsole Tour Platform, featuring a 10-cleat configuration for added traction, especially at higher swing speeds. Dynamic Traxion® cleats are designed in a low-profile and turf-friendly shape to help eliminate spike marks, and feature flexible legs to improve grip, comfort and durability.

Inside, the 3D FitFOAM™ sock liner delivers a customized fit for exceptional comfort and support. Outside, the beautiful full-grain leather upper works with strategically positioned TPU accents to enhance durability.

"TOUR360 is one of golf's truly iconic products, and the performance flagship of adidas Golf footwear," said Dave Ortley, adidas Golf's senior director of global footwear. "The evolution of a product like this is not to be taken lightly, as it represents leadership in both performance innovation and style. We are confident that TOUR360 3.0 will not disappoint."

TOUR360 3.0 is offered in medium and wide widths and a choice of three colorways: running white/black/victory red, black/black/metallic silver and running white/running white/black.

Additional colorways will be added in February 2009. TOUR360 3.0 includes a two-year waterproof warranty and carries a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $180. Availability at retailers begins on September 1.
