Cleveland Golf Announces New ProductsCleveland Golf is pleased to introduce their latest product introductions for 2008, which include the new Launcher driver and fairway woods, the HiBore XLI irons, the Niblick and the Cleveland Classic putter line.  All products will be available to ship October 15, 2008.

The New Launcher
With the new Launcher, tradition and technology collide to produce a conventional looking head that is far from conventional in performance. Boasting extremely low spin, a mid-trajectory and high MOI, it is the longest and straightest Launcher that Cleveland Golf has ever produced. Compared to the original Launcher and Launcher Comp, the New Launcher boasts a 21% larger face making it the largest to date. This allows generous room for mis-hits. The Launchers' horseshoe shaped weight pad on the rear perimeter of the sole significantly improves launch conditions and stability by localizing 17 grams of weight low and deep in the clubhead, improving both MOI and center of gravity location. At only a half millimeter in thickness, the new Launcher crown is the thinnest possible, which also helps move every bit of potential weight low and deep to optimize launch conditions and maximize distance. Beyond the head design, the longer, lighter Fujikura Fit-On Flightspeed shafts lead to higher swingspeeds and additional yardage to make the new Launcher the complete package. The Launcher driver is available in lofts of 9.0°, 10.5°, and 12.0°, will carry a street price of $299 and begin shipping October 15, 2008.

The New Launcher Fairway
Compared to any previous Launcher fairway woods, its 11% larger face provides forgiveness from both heel and toe mis-hits, producing more consistent results. The Launcher fairway's MOI of over 3,000 makes it extremely stable and allows for mis-hits to perform nearly as well as perfect strikes. As a first of its kind offering, the Launcher fairway is available in three distinct 3-wood lofts that can be paired with two unique high performance shafts. With low (13°), standard (15°) and high (17°) trajectory options, players can select the best loft to maximize distance and accuracy for their unique swing speed and launch conditions. Additionally, the Fulikura Red and Gold shaft fitting system provides a Standard trajectory (Gold) and a Tour trajectory (Red) to further optimize the player's ball flight. Available in lofts of 13°, 15°, 17°, 19° and 22°, the Launcher fairway will carry a street price of $179 and begin shipping October 15, 2008.

The HiBORE XLi Irons

With the introduction of the latest HiBORE Xli Irons, Cleveland Golf has taken their highly successful HiBORE Irons to the next level by giving players even greater distance, increased forgiveness and added consistency. These new irons utilize Distance Driven Geometry™ by lowering their crown which, in turn, gives them the lowest and deepest center of gravity position for maximum distance and forgiveness. Like its predecessor, the new HiBORE Xli is the only hybrid iron product with full hollow construction throughout the entire set, providing a consistent feel and a seamless transition from three iron to wedge. Their progressive offset and sole width promotes proper ball striking by supporting a shallow attack angle in the long irons and a progressively steeper attack angle towards the shorter irons, thus helping to create optimal launch conditions. The HiBORE Xli also incorporates toe and heel drag relief zones. These engineered recesses reduce turf interaction in tough lies and help increase control from any lie. The HiBORE Xli Irons will carry a street price of $599 (steel) and $699 (graphite) and will begin shipping October 15, 2008.

The NIBLICK

Cleveland Golf's revolutionary short iron hybrid incorporates classic concept with modern design. The new Niblick combines the best features of a wedge, putter, iron and hybrid to create the ultimate hybrid scoring club. Specifically designed to improve scoring, the Niblick enables players to hit four different types of shots, including chips, pitches, approach shots and recoveries. The Niblick features Gelback™ technology, which is a lightweight, visco-elastic, vibration-damping material that is placed directly behind the hitting area of the clubface. Gelback is vibration-tuned to remove unwanted vibration on mis-hits, while still allowing the player necessary feedback from the clubhead for a soft yet responsive feel. The Niblick also features Cleveland Golf's patented Zip Grooves™. This technology creates larger groove volume which helps channel more debris compared to traditional grooves, thus leading to improved contact with the ball. This breakthrough technology features consistent milling of each groove to maximum conforming dimensions, which leads to optimum spin on each and every shot. The Niblick comes with a steel shaft and will carry a street price of $109. Available to ship October 15, 2008.

Cleveland Classic Putters

Inspired by the classics but crafted for performance, the new Cleveland Classic putters are designed with a precision milled face that provides a soft yet solid feel throughout the stroke. All three models have heel-toe weighting which increases MOI for added forgiveness, while helping to limit unwanted twisting on off-center hits. All models are manufactured from 17-4 Stainless Steel and come with a hand polished satin finish, which minimizes glare and provides a long-lasting and durable finish. These putters will carry a street price of $69 and will begin shipping October 15, 2008.
