New for 2009, Sun Mountain is offering a top-of-the-line golf stand bag and cart bag with major college and university team colors and logos. Sun Mountain currently has agreements in place with 53 universities to include the likes of Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Georgia with more to be added throughout the year.
Bag choices include a lightweight stand bag and a full-featured cart bag at $209 and $269, respectively. For the retailer nearest you, call 800-227-9224 or visit www.sunmountain.com.
The lightweight stand bag is based on Sun Mountain's top-selling Superlight 3.5 bag offering a six-way top and seven pockets to include: a water bottle pouch, velour-lined valuables pocket, and a full-length clothing pocket, while still weighing less than four pounds.
Additional technical features of the collegiate-licensed stand bag include: a built-in top collar handle for ease in getting the bag on and off; patented Roller Bottom stand mechanism that delivers faster leg action; and lightweight, high tensile-strength aluminum legs with non-slip triangular feet.
The college-logoed cart bag is based on Sun Mountain's best selling C-130 bag. This collegiate-licensed cart bag offers total club management with a 14-way, individual club divider system. The top of the bag features an integrated handle for easy loading and unloading as well as a molded putter compartment. Other unique features include non-slip rubber feet that help the bag sit squarely on a cart and a reverse top that presents clubs from short to long when the bag is on the cart. This cart bag includes 10 pockets that offer almost as much storage space as the military aircraft for which this bag is named.
"In the past golfers had to pick between a top quality golf bag and a golf bag in their college colors," explained Sun Mountain President, Ed Kowachek. "Now folks can have it all - quality, performance, cutting-edge design and college colors."
