Grande Pines Golf ClubMarriott Golf has selected Orlando's Marriott's Grande Pines Golf Club as its "Property of the Year."

This award is based on performance excellence for current and previous years in various categories such as golf sales, round improvements, customer satisfaction, program development, personnel development and leadership and more.

As one of Marriott Golf's first properties to become an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, Grande Pines has excelled in the area of promoting environmental stewardship and was also recognized with Golf Digest's prestigious "Environmental Leadership in Golf" award in the Resort Category for 2008.

Further, in 2008, the golf team at Grande Pines completed the second phase of a course improvement plan which eliminated 18 bunkers throughout the course, increasing playability and enhancing the overall guest experience. As a result of the course refinements, the property has achieved a record number of rounds played, while the level of guest satisfaction is at an all-time high. Grande Pines is part of Marriott's Grande Vista, a Marriott Vacation Club Resort, and is open to owners, guests, and the general public.

"It is with great pleasure that we recognize Grande Pines as our 'Property of the Year,'" said Bill Nault, vice president of Marriott Golf. "The entire golf operation has performed at an exemplary level, thus making them truly deserving of this award."
