The PLAYERS Stadium Course at the PGA Tour's flagship TPC Sawgrass, home to THE PLAYERS Championship, has been named the "No. 1 Best Golf Course in Florida" in Travel + Leisure Golf's "2008 World's Best Golf Resorts Readers' Survey," which appears in the magazine's September/October issue. The survey results cover readers' favorite courses and resorts within the U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico, Latin America, Canada and the British Isles.

In the same survey, the Sawgrass Golf Resort & Spa, which includes TPC Sawgrass, was named the No. 1 golf resort in Florida and No. 9 on Travel + Leisure Golf's list of the "2008 Top Ten U.S. Golf Resorts." Within those rankings, the Sawgrass Golf Resort & Spa was ranked No. 2 in the U.S. in the category "Best Resorts for Buddy Trips."

"We are honored to have been recognized by the readers of Travel + Leisure Golf and to be in the company of so many esteemed clubs and resorts worldwide," said TPC Sawgrass General Manager Bill Hughes. "Our goal is to continually exceed the needs and high expectations of our resort guests by providing outstanding facilities, exceptional service and a unique PGA Tour experience. Surveys such as this one, from golfers who have experienced TPC Sawgrass first-hand, let us know we are achieving that objective."

TPC Sawgrass opened for play in 1980 and in November 2006 completed a monumental renovation that included numerous infrastructure and competitive enhancements to its renowned Pete Dye-designed PLAYERS Stadium Course, as well as the construction of a 77,000 square-foot Mediterranean Revival-style clubhouse. The club also features the Pete Dye/Bobby Weed-designed Dye's Valley Course and the state-of-the-art Tour Academy teaching facility. For more information, please visit www.tpc.com/sawgrass.
