The 18th hole at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf ClubNAPLES, Fla. – The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club’s championship golf course has reopened and is expected to be better than ever after a series of enhancements.

The course was closed July-September to allow for the installation of new grass on 12 of the greens, and on all 18 tee boxes. In addition, new bridges were constructed over some of the course’s water features.

Built in 1927, the resort’s championship par-72 layout is Naples’ original golf course. Updated over the years, first by Mark Mahanna in 1948, then by famed golf course architect Ron Garl in 1980, 1993 and 1998 – the course was renovated to enhance the qualities that have always made it so popular.

“Our course is one of the unique features that really sets our resort apart from others,” said Head Golf Professional Willard. “Not only have we played host to amateur and professional events, we’ve also been named the ‘Best Public Course in Southwest Florida’ – no small feat considering our competition. The renovations we’ve made to our tees and greens were designed to enhance play while maintaining the originality that’s been our trademark for decades.”

Measuring 6,448 yards from the blue tees, the resort’s legendary 18-hole, par-72 course is designed for both enjoyment and challenge. The course’s pristine natural setting provides golfers with an incredible sense of serenity.

A favorite since it opened, Naples’ original championship course is home to the Florida State Senior Men’s Open Championship, Florida State Senior Women’s Golf Association Championship, and Future Collegiate World Tour, among other events.

A great way to experience the new golf course is by taking advantage of the  surprisingly affordable “Fall Value Rates” at the resort, which is Southwest Florida’s only beachfront resort to feature an on-site championship golf course, world-class spa, and award-winning tennis center.

The special “Fall Value Rates” start at just $119 per room, per night Sunday-Thursday, or from $139 per room, per night Friday and Saturday - with no hidden costs or resort fees.

In addition to accommodations in a newly renovated guest room, the “Fall Value Rates” include:

- Complimentary use of the resort’s fitness center
- Complimentary valet and self parking
- Afternoon tea and cookies at 4 p.m. daily
- Complimentary admission for children ages five to 12 in the morning activities of the Beach Klub 4 Kids supervised child activity program

The special rate is available through Dec. 23, 2010, based on availability. Some restrictions may apply. Additionally, guests staying three nights at the resort with this special offer receive the fourth night free.

The value of the offer is quite impressive, as the resort’s standard room rates in the fall start at $235 per night, and in the winter start at $325 per night.

Making it even more appealing is the resort’s beautiful setting on the pristine white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, its all-new $5 million beachfront pool complex with two new pools (opened February 2010), and its ideal location just blocks from Naples’ renowned shopping and dining districts of fashionable 5th Avenue and historic 3rd Street South.
