John Daly will bring his colorful personality and pants to Harbour Town Golf Links April 12-18 for the 42nd edition of the Verizon Heritage. Daly was granted a sponsors exemption to play in the tournament.
PGA Tour veterans Chris DiMarco, Rocco Mediate and former Clemson golfer and PGA Tour rookie Brent Delahoussaye have also been awarded sponsors exemptions.
This will be the seventh Verizon Heritage for Daly. He is a five-time PGA Tour winner and two-time major champion. Daly won the 1991 PGA Championship and the 1995 British Open. Daly, who makes his home in Dardanelle, Arkansas, has recently made headlines with his Golf Channel Reality Show “Being John Daly." Daly received one of the Restricted Sponsor Exemption spots.
DiMarco, an All-American and SEC Player of the Year as an undergraduate at the University of Florida, has won three times on the PGA Tour as well as better than $20 million.
Mediate has enjoyed five first place finishes in his more than two decades on the PGA Tour, earning more than $15 million.
