National Kidney Foundation of Florida Partners with the Franklin Templeton Shootout

Naples, FL - The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) of Florida recently announced that it will again partner with the Franklin Templeton Shootout, southwest Florida's PGA TOUR event, to host its annual charity golf tournament. The Franklin Templeton Shootout will serve as the presenting sponsor of the 13th edition of the Naples NKF Golf Classic which will be held Monday, December 5, 2011 at Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples.

"We are honored to again partner with the National Kidney Foundation of Florida and are proud to support the NFK Golf Classic and its beneficiaries in the Southwest Florida community," said Franklin Templeton Shootout Tournament Director, Taylor Ives.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the National Kidney Foundation of Florida and will be designated for use in the Southwest Florida area.

This elite charity golf event will kick off the Franklin Templeton Shootout event and will be contested on Tiburón's Gold Course which will play host to 24 of the world's top professionals later that week. "The opportunity to compete on a premier course in PGA TOUR condition will provide a unique experience for our participants," said NKF of Florida Volunteer Chairman, Dr. Anthony DeFeo.

The Naples NKF Golf Classic is part of the National Kidney Foundation's Golf Classic tournament series. The top three finishing foursomes from the Naples event will receive an invitation to participate in the NKF Golf Classic National Finals to be held at the world renowned Pebble Beach Resorts in Monterey, CA January 2012. The four-day competition is one of the nation's premier amateur golf events for charity and will attract golfers from across the United States.

The Franklin Templeton Shootout is a nationally televised PGA TOUR-sanctioned event hosted by World Golf Hall of Fame member Greg Norman.
