During the 44th annual RBC Heritage Media Day,  Jim Little, Chief Brand and Communications Officer for RBC harbourtown1.jpgannounced Luke Donald, the number one player in the world and RBC Ambassador, has committed to play in South Carolina's only PGA TOUR event.

Tournament Director Steve Wilmot announced four more PGA TOUR champions with a history of playing the Players Amateur have also committed.  Bill Haas, Matt Kuchar, Bryce Molder and Chris Kirk will be competing in the 44th annual RBC Heritage at the Harbour Town Golf Links, April 9-15.  They represent a group of young golfers who played in the Players Amateur as college athletes who are now making a name for themselves on TOUR.  In addition, Corbin Mills, the 2011 Players Amateur champion won an automatic exemption to the RBC Heritage with his victory and plans to play at Harbour Town in April.

Donald, who grew up in England and now lives outside of Chicago, has won four times on the PGA TOUR and has five International victories.  He competed in his sixth Heritage last year and knowing that a victory would have propelled him to number one in the Official World Golf Ranking, he lost on the third playoff hole to Brandt Snedeker.  He earned the number one spot weeks later after his win at the BMW PGA Championship.

Kuchar had a great 2010 season when he led the TOUR in money earnings.  He also captured the prestigious Barclays title that year.   The Sea Island, Georgia resident has earned two other victories on the PGA TOUR and finished 6th in 2011 FedExCup points.

Molder, the former Georgia Tech star, broke into the PGA TOUR winner's circle last year by capturing the Fry.com Open.  This will be his third start at the RBC Heritage.

Kirk, a University of Georgia grad, won his first PGA TOUR title a year ago at the Viking Classic.  He competed for the first time at Harbour Town last year.

Mills, the first Clemson golfer to take the Players Amateur crown, is looking forward to competing against the best on TOUR at Harbour Town this April.
