Taking the game to a new level in Houston."

Words don't do it justice. Pictures can't capture the magic.
Wildcat is something you have to experience.

Wildcat Golf ClubWildcat is Houston golf with a touch of the Hill Country... even a touch of Colorado's Rocky Mountain foothills, according to the Houston Chronicle's Eddie Sefko.

But it's pure Houston. Only ten minutes from downtown, Wildcat rises from the flat Texas terrain to create a golf experience like no other in the area:

  • 500-plus acres of dramatic elevation changes, rising as high as 100 feet
  • Tumbling fairways amidst wetlands and natural grass fields
  • Acres of seemingly countless lakes
  • Spectacular up-close panoramas of the Houston skyline

To ensure optimal playing surfaces, Wildcat golfers tread only the finest turf grasses: TifSport Bermuda covers the fairways and roughs; TifEagle Bermuda yields smooth, consistent greens.

On both The Highlands Course, with a bit of a Scottish flair, and the more traditional Lakes Course, renowned architect Roy Case has combined playability with exciting challenges to provide golfers a delightful golf experience regardless of skill level.

You have to see it to believe it.

You have to play it to understand.

Wildcat Golf Club — Houston's unique golf venue with 36 holes of premier quality daily-fee golf.

"We are often asked which course is better, the Lakes or the Highlands. Thankfully, we don’t have to choose, and neither do you."

WildcatThe Highlands Course and the Lakes Course were built specifically to be of equal difficulty. Both offer challenges and both are fair to golfers of all skill levels. It comes down to personal preference. The Highlands Course, which opened just a few short months before the Lakes Course, is more of a links golf experience. The danger for a golfer’s errant shots lie in the high native grasses and the numerous bunkers. Rolling fairways coupled with fast greens give golfers the feeling of playing in Scotland, the home of golf. And while the course may feel like one overseas, it is unmistakable that you are in Houston. The Highlands Course offers panoramic views of the city, from the Galleria area to the Medical Center to Reliant Park to Downtown. It’s breathtaking.

The Lakes Course offers those same views. But it also throws in the element of water hazards. The name fits as many of the holes make you navigate around the Wildcat lakes if you want to score well. This course too has rolling fairways and fast greens, but what it lacks in native grasses it makes up for in water. And both, offer dramatic elevation changes that can be rivaled by no other course in Houston.

So, take your pick. You can’t go wrong. Still curious about our courses? Click here to see a Virtual Tour of both layouts or see the scorecard below.
