Quail Valley Golf Course Receives Top Honors in Avid Golfer

One year after undergoing a complete renovation, the El Dorado greens at Missouri City’s Quail Valley Golf Course have been ranked among the top golfer attractions in the Houston area by a leading magazine.

In the December issue of Avid Golfer, El Dorado was named No. 1 in the category for the “Best Overall Value Under $40”. El Dorado also ranked second among the “Top 10 Value Priced Courses ($50 and under)." Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston earned the top spot in that category.

“This is truly a great accomplishment to achieve these ratings so early in the life of a new golf course,” said Quail Valley Golf Course General Manager and Head Golf Professional Tyson Stittleburg. “This means we have created a course that is well respected amongst the golfing public. It also shows a strong recognition by the public that Quail Valley Golf Course is a legitimate course in the area.”

The 18-hole El Dorado course was redesigned by renowned golf architect Jeff Blume. About 20,000 golfers have teed up on the course since it reopened last year.

In 2009, Avid Golfer ranked the La Quinta Course at No. 6 in the category of “Top 10 Value Priced Courses."

Avid Golfer Magazine covers courses in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Hill Country and Arizona areas. It is designed to give players an idea of the best places to go for the available amenities.
