Everything’s bigger in Texas, even on the PGA Tour.

The Lone Star State will host four of the 37 regular season tour stops in professional golf’s annual showcase in 2012.

The Shell Houston Open is set for the Redstone Golf Club from from March 26-April 1, and will be shown on the Golf Channel and NBC-TV.

The Valero Texas Open, to be held a week earlier than usual at San Antonio’s AT&T Oaks Course, is on the calendar for April 16-22, to be shown on the Golf Channel and CBS-TV.

The two other Texas PGA Tour stops are on back-to-back weekends in May, and are trading places this year. First up is the HP Byron Nelson Championship, set for the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas in Irving May 14-20, followed May 21-17 by the Crowne Plaza Invitational at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth. Both will be shown on the Golf Channel and CBS-TV.
