Mickelson Takes Leave From Tour After His Wife Amy is Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

Phil and Amy MickelsonPhil Mickelson, winner of this year's Northern Trust Open and World Golf Championships - CA Championship on the PGA Tour, has suspended his Tour schedule after learning that his wife, Amy, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The story, which was first reported by PGATour.com, also revealed that while more tests are scheduled, the treatment process will begin with a major surgical procedure, which could happen within weeks.

Mickelson, who is No. 2 in the Official World Golf Rankings, was scheduled to play in this week's HP Byron Nelson Championship beginning Thursday in Irving, Texas and then defend his championship at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial in Forth Worth.

Mickelson has suspended his schedule indefinitely.

Let's pray that it was found early. If you follow Phil or just seen him win a tourney his wife Amy and their kids are there at the 18th waiting for him. 
I'll keep both them and their kids in my prayers for a good outcome to bad news.
