Get Ready...Panther Creek

Panther Creek Golf Club - Jacksonville, FLThere are golf courses that provide great affordability, and then there are others that offer great quality. Putting the two together, however, is something not so easily achieved. That is until now.

Welcome to Panther Creek, where quality and afordability merge to create a memorable golf experience in North Florida. Located just off Interstate 10 and Chaffee Rd. in Jacksonville, Panther Creek is 27 holes of golf and only golf. It was designed by Andy Dye, nephew of the great Pete Dye. Built to challenge the finest golfers and accommodate the higher handicappers, Panther Creek is a daily-fee course that will not test golfer’s wallets.

Course fees will range from $25 to $50 with senior, military and Panther Passport rates. This will be an unbelievable bargain for a golf course that promises to be among the finest public access tracts in Florida.“Our goal is to bring affordably priced daily-fee golf to the golfers of Duval County and surrounding areas,” said Kent Curley developer of Panther Creek.

Panther Creek Golf Club - Jacksonville, FLQuality golf might not fully describe the potential of Panther Creek. Designed to take full advantage of the naturally beautiful Florida landscape, the course is largely unencumbered by development as only five of the 27 holes provide views of home sites. Built on 600 acres of dense Florida woodlands and wetlands, the course will often belie its North Florida address as Dye moved more than 5 million cubic yards of dirt to craft significant mounds and unusual elevation changes.

“Panther Creek is the future of golf,” Andy Dye said. “It is quality golf for all levels of golf and it is a true walk with nature.”

Built with all golfers in mind, Panther Creek will offer five sets of tees on every hole with distances ranging from 4,080 to 7,600 yards. The layout will offer a wide variety of golf holes, each providing their own sense of solitude and privacy from other holes.

“Panther Creek will have 27 different golf holes all complementary, with great shot diversity around the greens” Dye said. “It is designed to be playable, exciting, fun and dramatic and yet it will be able to test single digit handicappers.”

Each par-3, will provide its own unique feel and test, including one that features an island green reminiscent of the one his uncle created at the TPC at Sawgrass Stadium Course.

“We have six of the most memorable par-3s in all of Florida and the United States,” Dye said. “Each par-3 is almost sitting in its own nature preserve, all by itself.

In addition, Panther Creek will offer practice and clubhouse facilities that will rival any in the area. Also, each golf cart will come equipped with state-of-the-art GPS.

The practice facility will boast a double-sided, 450-yard practice range perfect for personal or group instruction, which will be provided by Director of Instruction Kathy Grant.

Panther Creek Golf Club - Jacksonville, FLThe 33,000-square-foot clubhouse, which will feature an impressive statue of a Florida panther at the entrance, will be the perfect host for weddings, corporate outings and events.
