Jinglebells Pro-Am Raises $138,000 for Monique Burr Foundation

ST. AUGUSTINE - World-renowned golf celebrities and local teams recently teed up together and raised $138,000 at the 13th Annual Monique Burr Foundation for Children Jinglebells Pro-Am golf tournament. Presented by AT&T and Hampton Golf, the premier charity golf tournament brought together 16 teams of PGA Tour, Champions Tour, Nationwide Tour and LPGA Tour professionals, and golfers from across the country to The Golf Club at South Hampton.

“This event was a great success for the Monique Burr Foundation and the money raised will benefit our mission to provide safety and child abuse prevention education throughout Florida,” said Lynn Layton, executive director of the foundation. “We cannot thank everyone enough, from the volunteers and sponsors to the players and participants.”   

More than 18 celebrity golfers participated in this year’s tournament, including Jim Furyk, Fred Funk, Mark McCumber and many others. Funk and McCumber were honorary chair persons for the tournament and tournament chairs were M.G. Orender and Robert Castranova.

The tournament winners were:

1st place Gross - Team Pepsi

David Biscan, Chris Noah, Derek DiStefano, Chuck Thomas and celebrity pro Fred Funk

 

2nd place Gross - Team PGA Tour

Sid Wilson, Rod Hastings, Mike Furyk, Kevin Slayden and celebrity pro Bubba Dickerson

 

3rd place Gross - Team Children’s Safe Passage

Mike Williams, Ron Natherson, Curtis Hazel, Bryan Barker and celebrity pro Jeff Klauk

 

1st place Net - Team GreenPointe 2

Denny Doyle, Ed White, Greg Smith, Robert Baker and celebrity golf pro Mark Carnevale

 

2nd place Net - Team GreenPointe

Roger Postlewaite,  Walt Bussells, Monty Crook, Emerson Lotzia and celebrity golf pro Mike Hulbert

 

3rd place Net - Team AT&T

Joe York, Daniel Gilham, Daniel Wahby, Joe Mobley and celebrity golf pro Jim Furyk
