TPC Las Vegas - A PGA Tour Experience

Nestled within the spectacular master-planned community of Summerlin, just minutes from the world famous Las Vegas Strip, TPC Las Vegas is a stern and compelling test of golf set against the stunning backdrop of Red Rock Canyon.

Designed by noted golf course architect Bobby Weed along with World Golf Hall of Fame member and four-time major champion Raymond Floyd, who served as a consultant, the par-71 7,081-yard TPC Las Vegas is a championship-caliber layout featuring lush green parcels of manicured turf woven through a rugged tapestry of arroyos, barrancas and undisturbed desert washes, highlighted by dramatic vistas and an abundance of risk-reward challenges.

TPC Las Vegas – A PGA Tour Experience

TPC Las Vegas can most aptly be described as “desert elegance,” and the course’s hallmark is the stark contrast present between the rugged scenery and the green elements of the layout. Much of the indigenous vegetation was preserved. Some was transplanted. Natural wash areas were incorporated. Weed and Floyd also took great care in considering the natural drainage when the routing was conceived. While the course meanders over several hundred acres, it has only 110 acres of irrigated land, which serves as a plus in the realm of environmental conservation and wildlife preservation. In the end, the course emerged with a natural rugged look with a contrast unsurpassed in Las Vegas.

The intentional creation of a rugged landscape wasn’t done by sacrificing conditioning. In fact, TPC Las Vegas was awarded “Best Playing Conditions in Southern Nevada for 2008” by Greenskeeper.org.

“As far as aesthetics and playability, I would put TPC Las Vegas up against any course you care to mention,” said Floyd.
