Registration Now Open for the 2010 Michigan PGA Junior Tour Season

Michigan PGA Junior TourThe Michigan PGA has opened registration for the 2010 season of the Michigan PGA Junior Tour. You can register by going to, and clicking on Junior Tour. The tour is open to boys and girls ages 13-18 that are Michigan residents. There is a 13-15 division and a 16-18 division for both boys and girls. This is the fifth year already for the Michigan PGA Junior Tour and we are very excited about the upcoming season.

With the help of its PGA Professionals, the Michigan PGA Junior Tour has put together another fantastic schedule this year with Michigan’s top courses. A few of the courses new to the schedule this year include Flint Golf Club, The Orchards Golf Club in Washington, Michigan, Forest Lake Country Club in Bloomfield Hills and The Meadows at Grand Valley in Allendale.

The schedule this year will consist of nine single-day events, three two-day events, and the tour championship at The Fortress in Frankenmuth.
Technology has played a key role in the success of the tour. The organization will continue with online membership and tournament registration, online player information and e-confirmations in the 2010 season on This also allows players to check stats, player of the year points and real-time scoring.

Once again this year the winners of the Tour Championship will receive an exemption into an AJGA event, along with a two-year exemption into the Michigan PGA Tournament of Champions. All of the two-day events will be rated by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard,

In addition, Osprey Recreational Properties will be awarding scholarships to Michigan PGA Junior Tour members meeting their scholarship criteria.

Membership for the tour is $100 which includes a shirt in the membership packet, awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd at all of the events as well Player of the Year in each division. The entry fee for the single day events are $50 and the two day events are $100.

The Michigan PGA Junior Tour will once again continue with the “Fall Series” as it has proven to be a success. This series will contain approximately 6 events in September and October. These fall tournament are an added benefit as there is no additional membership fee.
