Shanty Creek Resorts Names New General Manager/Chief Operating Officer

Bellaire, Michigan – Shanty Creek Resorts today announces Pete Bigford as its new General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. Bigford, who was born and raised in Niles, Michigan, returns to his home state to oversee the premier northern Michigan resort destination.

Bigford brings over 20 years of experience in the resort and golf development industry. He has held executive positions with top facilities like Copper Mountain Resort in Colorado, as well as developing various award-winning golf course development projects and membership programs including Cherry Hills and St. Albans in St. Louis.

“We are very excited for the future, and the leadership that Pete will bring to Shanty Creek”, said Mike Schoedel of Trinidad Resorts and Club. “Pete is well versed in everything from resort real estate development, golf course maintenance, as well as the accounting and financial aspects of operations.
