Hold My Calls

Editor's Note: This year at the Shark Shootout we're reaching out to our fan base, and have asked a couple of local golfers to give us their impression of the action on and off the course. Below is commentary from Bonita Springs resident Pat Long as she walked along watching the Pro-Am Wednesday.

Beautiful day after a cold start (37 at 7 a.m.) Temperature reached the high 50's by 10 a.m.

Watched Ian Poulter on the 18th hole. Very impressive as he held the pin for other players. He was also helping them to read their line as they got ready to putt. Heard many nice comments from people who were watching.
Testament to the warming trend was Fred Funk in his short sleeves. Nice to see his son as his caddy.
Rickie Fowler all decked out in purple and white today signing many autographs for fans.
Disappointed to see Dustin Johnson walking along the 18th fairway talking on his cell phone. Sat in his cart continuing the conversation while his partners did their work on the green.

All in all still looking forward to a great day tomorrow at Tiburon and the Shark Shootout.
