Shark Shootout a Super Week of Golf

Welcome from the 9th Hole at Tiburon Golf Club located at the Ritz Carlton Resort in Naples, FL.

It's the final round of the Shark Shootout. The weather is perfect - clear blue sky, bright sunshine and a slight breeze. The wind is supposed to pick up later and this could present a problem for the golfers here at the 9th.

Everyone could spot Ricky Fowler as he came over the hill in his "Sunday Bright Orange." Bubba's tee shot would prove to be the longest drive of the day on number 9.

Jeff Overton sank a great putt from off the green for a birdie.
It's 11 a.m. and the wind is starting to pick  up. One ball out of four landed on the green. Mike Weir was heard joking with the crowd when he stated "I was hoping there would be some Canadiens who would have stopped the ball as it kept rolling."
Ian Poulter made the green in two. Saw someone in the crowd wearing the same pants as Ian today. Darren Clarke birdied to go to 22-under.
Funk and Kelly hit the green but the wind is really taking the balls to the left side.

Fun on the 18th as after finishing their round, Ricky Fowler and Bubba Watson came out dressed as Santa Claus and passed out candy canes to the crowd. Ricky had his orange cap on over his Santa hat. What a nice gesture from these young men! Hope they're on tour for many years.

The Shark Shootout ended at 2 p.m. just as the wind was really starting to blow and the clouds were rolling in.

Another great tournament has come to an end. Accolades to Greg Norman for a super week.
