Verandah Club offers non-resident membership program

Verandah River House back viewFORT MYERS, Fla. – The Verandah Club has announced a membership program for golf enthusiasts who live outside the gates of the master-planned community, but who want access to the club’s 36 holes of championship golf.

“Verandah’s golf courses are among the finest in the region, so players of all skill levels place Verandah high on their priority list to play,” said Jay Severson, the club’s director of membership sales.

Verandah’s non-resident program offers access to golf courses designed by two of the most respected names in the game, Jack Nicklaus and Bob Cupp. The Nicklaus-designed Whispering Oak layout winds through stands of oak trees that provide a framework for a demanding yet fair test of golf. Cupp’s creation, Old Orange, is a traditional design that complements the Nicklaus course to create an experience unlike any other in Southwest Florida.

In addition to golf privileges, non-resident members also have family access to the Verandah Tennis & Fitness Center that includes five Har-tru tennis courts, a heated Junior Olympic swimming pool and state of the art fitness center.

A full-service lounge and restaurant provide daily lunch service and dinner options Wednesday and Friday evenings. Unlike many club memberships, the Verandah Club does not institute a food and beverage minimum.

The membership requires a one-time, non-refundable fee of $15,000 (plus tax) along with monthly dues. “We’ve created a non-resident opportunity for a family or a couple who are in search of the complete club experience,” said Severson.
