Angus Glen Golf Club and Conference Centre

It would be pretty easy for the folks at Angus Glen Golf Club and Conference Centre to step back a bit, smell their beautiful flowers, and enjoy the gorgeous view, literally and figuratively from the top of the Canadian golf world. After all, Angus G en’s been chosen to host the Canadian Open for the 2nd time in the last 5 years (remarkably on its two different layouts) and has a slew of awards for the quality of the course, the service, even the design of the clubhouse at this magnificent 36-hole public facility. But that’s not Angus Glen. Open year-round, this legendary property has a passion for the pursuit of perfection. One example is bringing in Davis Love III to do an extreme makeover of the North Course that was already good enough to be awarded the 2007 Canadian Open. The $2-million project has toughened the course for the touring pros, but also made it that much more challenging for the golfers who’ve come out to enjoy it since its re-opening last May. Angus Glen’s even updated its on-course navigation system, acquiring a new fleet of golf carts with GPS. So it’s not just a great place for THE Canadian Open, but for your own personal, group, or corporate Canadian Open as well.

Another example is the instructional component. Angus Glen already had a solid Golf Academy, but when the opportunity came to partner with legendary teacher Jim McLean, one of golf’s most renowned teachers, they jumped at it, and Angus Glen is now home for the Jim McLean Golf School- Canada.

Then there’s the large golf shop that doesn’t just stock and sell you all the leading brands of equipment, but employs Canadian PGA professionals who’ll fit you to the right set of clubs to maximize your swing. They’re even changing the equipment all the time to keep up with the very latest trends. And if they don’t have something you’re looking for specifically, they’ll find it.

As if the distinguished, Victorian-style clubhouse with the spacious terrace overlooking the 18th green in this wonderful country setting didn’t set the right mood for your wedding, conference or other special event, the four stunning yet distinctive banquet rooms inside that can accommodate groups of 4 to 400 will make your event something the attendees will talk about for years. And again, it’s not just the locale, but the attention to detail of their personal consultants and award-winning staff that will truly personalize any occasion.

Angus Glen has a wilder side too. Its Friday night Winemakers’ Dinners and Dine ‘n Dance nights offer guests an opportunity to not only enjoy a fabulous night out, but learn a little something about food, wines, and that latest dance step! There are also two restaurants, Silo Grill and Arthur’s Steakhouse, offering exceptional cuisine all year-round. Our Sunday Brunches are not only unique, but legendary for their superb cuisine and spectacular country setting.

Whatever Angus Glen has been in the past, and it has a storied history in the Stollery family dating back 50 years, it’s even better now, and the best part is, they promise it’ll be even better in the years to come.
