ABD Development, Providence Community Big Winners in Central Florida Parade of Homes

ORLANDO – ABD Development Company and the Providence Golf & Country Club Community it’s developing in the Loughman-Davenport area of Polk County were the big winners in the 2010 Central Florida Parade of Homes.

Providence won both a First Place award and the Grand Award as the best community in the region.

ABD Development Company, which ranks as one of Central Florida’s largest and most active custom home builders, also won a first place for its unique Courtyard model home, which features a huge indoor courtyard that can be converted to a swimming pool.

“We are delighted with the recognition,” said David Kohn, president of ABD Development.

“From the start, we designed Providence as a new kind of community for Central Florida, with more value and a larger cultural experience,” Kohn explained.

“The Courtyard model home is the best expression of this concept, with a 900-square-foot indoor courtyard that can serve as a contemplative interior garden or an indoor swimming pool and spa,” he said.

Kohn said ABD recently downsized the Courtyard model home to a smaller, smarter version that better reflects the current housing market.

“We’ve made luxury more affordable and now visitors are surprised at how much home we can build in our price range,” he said.
