The Daytona Beach Golf Club Hosts 29th Annual Mayor's Golf Tournament

Mayor Glenn Ritchey played host to 136 golfers who gathered to play golf, have a good time and raise $30,000 that will support the Mayors two designated charities; the Keech Street Children’s Clinic and the Daytona Beach Police Foundation.

Mayor Ritchey would like to express his thanks to the major sponsors; Brighthouse Networks, Daytona International Speedway, Halifax Medical Center, Florida Health Care Plan, Pepsi-Cola and Consolidated Tomoka, all of whom helped make this day a huge success.

Additional thanks go to Tournament Chairman Joe Pet-rock, Co-Chair Bobby Thigpen, and Committee Members Carol Kilian of the L.PG.A., Daytona Beach City Manager Jim Chisholm, Leisure Services Director Percy Williamson, Ray Salazar of United Way, PGA Director of Golf John R.
Cameron, Jr., and PGA Head Golf Professional Brian Jaquet.

The tournament featured a scramble format that was conducted on the North Course at the Daytona Beach Golf Club. The winning score of 54 was recorded by the team of Daytona Beach City Commissioner Rob Gilliland, Bill Gall, Gene McMa-han and Dan McMahan.
