Windermere Country Club Re-Opens After $1 Million Renovation

Windermere Country ClubUnder the guidance of PGA General Manager Marc Guiseppi and the KemperSports team, a comprehensive renovation project was completed at Windermere Country Club. Greens, greenside bunkers, the driving range and clubhouse at the historic semi-private club just outside of Orlando were renovated. The project was completed in early October.

The renovation enhanced playability and aesthetics of a course that opened in 1986. TifEagle Bermuda grass was installed on the greens, which were also reshaped. Drainage was also a focus of the improvement project. These efforts will further boost the overall excellent year-round playing conditions while returning the green features back to their original design size.

Owned by Textron Financial and managed by KemperSports, Windermere Country Club offers a Ward Northrup designed course and is located just minutes from local attractions in the world-renowned town of Windermere.

"We are excited about the opportunity to bring this great club back to its earlier years of prominence," said Guiseppi. "As a semi-private club, we encourage everyone to now come and enjoy the new and improved golf course conditions, world-class service and its many amenities including a full-service restaurant and bar, locker rooms, bag storage, pool, tennis courts, banquet and meeting space, and special events."

Widely considered one of the best semi-private golf facilities in Central Florida, the course offers all players, regardless of skill level, the opportunity to enjoy the game. This marks an important rebirth of a historic local course in the heart of Orlando, one of the world's golf meccas and home to so many top professionals.
