Second Annual RBC Challenge

The second annual RBC Bank Pro Challenge golf tournament will be held at
the IMG Academies Golf & Country Club on Dec. 3-4.

This two-day professional event consists of two-player teams playing two
different formats. On day one, the players will play a better-ball format
while on day two, the players will compete in a scramble.

They will be playing for a purse of approximately $30,000 with the
winning team guaranteed $10,000.  The players appreciate such a solid
sponsor as they know the payment and amount of their winnings is

In 2010 the event attracted many of the areas top pros. Some from the
West Florida Tour such as Adam Hogue, Mike Murray, Nick Jones, Steve
Thomas and Jon Bullis. Also, Sam Osborne and his partner, former PGA
Tour player Barry Cheesman, who came in second to win $5,000. 

Players hailed from as far as Canada with Brad Ravell, who recently qualified
for the Canadian Tour. Robbie Greenwell and Matt Hill, who this year
played in the PGA's RBC Canadian Open as well as on the Canadian Tour, 
won last year's tournament and the $10,000 first prize.

Last year's tournament also included IGTA Tour players Nathan Bertsch 
(IMG) Don Wright, Chick Berry and Dave Morland IV (former PGA Tour
and present Nationwide Tour player) as well as North Florida PGA players
Jeff Boudrie, Tony Perez and Brian Richter.

The entry fee is $375 per person ($750 per team).  There is no admission charge
for spectators but they will be asked to bring a non-perishable food item
to benefit the Food Bank of Manatee.
