The Concession to host Archie Griffin Celebrity Golf Classic

Concession Charities, the charitable-giving organization of the renowned Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, will be hosting the second Archie Griffin Celebrity Golf Classic on March. 5-6, 2012. Proceeds will benefit The Boys and Girls Clubs of Sarasota County.

Golfers of all skill levels can join the fun. While mingling with two-time Heisman Trophy-winner Archie Griffin and other sports celebrities, your foursome will experience an unforgettable 18 holes of golf on one of the most magnificent private golf courses in the America.

Among the celebrities participating are familiar Buckeyes such as Jim Jackson, Robert Smith and Eddie George. Other football players such as Ndamukong Suh and Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions will also play in the tournament. Three-time Grammy-nominated and #1 Billboard Jazz Artist Ski Johnson will perform at The Pairings Party, Monday March 5.

Designed by Ohio State legend Jack Nicklaus in association with Tony Jacklin, the world-class Concession Golf Course snakes through 520 acres of ruggedly pristine land dotted with massive oaks and majestic pines.

With only a few rooflines visible from the course, the 7,470-yard Concession Golf Course offers firm and fast playing conditions yet peaceful and natural surroundings. This 18-hole par 72 course was named "Best New Private Course of 2006" by Golf Digest Magazine.   

In addition to meeting Archie Griffin and other celebrities at the Golf Classic Tuesday, March 6, you can join them at the Pairings Party, silent auction, dinner, and live auction that will be held at the elegant Concession Golf Club on Monday evening, March 5.
