Miccosukee Golf & Country Club

Acclaimed Host of the Nationwide Tour Miccosukee Championship

Miccosukee Golf & Country Club, Miami, FLMiccosukee Golf & Country Club is one of the few Florida courses that can boast it currently hosts a professional Tour event. The Miccosukee Championship, held in October, is one of the stops on the Nationwide Tour and will continue to be so through at least 2006.

The Miccosukee Championship affords guests the opportunity to see the young guns coming up through the ranks. Last year, the likes of Zack Johnson and Bo Van Pelt competed in the event, both of whom are now in the top 40 on the PGA TOUR money list. The Miccosukee Golf & Country Club, formally known as the Miami National Golf Club, has hosted LPGA and PGA events and the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer have graced the fairways.

As proof of the course’s appeal, many of the Nationwide players mentioned Miccosukee as one of the top five stops on the Tour, largely due to it’s great greens and the challenge it affords the player. Last year, the Miccosukee Championship raised $100,000 for local South Florida charities.

Situated in the heart of Miami this semi-private, Mark Mahannah-masterpiece offers golfers 27 holes of challenging golf in a beautiful setting. The course’s exceptional 6,700-yard Par-72 design brings water into play at every turn and is adorned with coral excavated from the lakes. The outstandingly fast Tifdwarf greens test a player’s skill and keep them wanting more. Recently, 13 new Tee boxes were added and three greens were rebuilt.
