Renovations Begin At The Country Club of Coral Springs

Renovations have commenced on the tees and greens at the Country Club of Coral Springs. Professional turf maintenance started the half-million dollar project that will result in a complete reconstruction of the greens, most of the traps, several tee boxes and fairways. In addition, world-renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills is consulting the club on the renovations.

While most south Florida golf courses revive their greens every 10 to 15 years, The Country Club of Coral Springs has not seen a restoration like this since the club opening over 40 years ago. Completion is scheduled for September 2012.

PGA Class A Professional and general manager Bill Friesing said, "This is an exciting time for the club and we look forward to reopening to serve our members and guests as the best country club in South Florida."

The course, clubhouse and mixed grill will remain open to the public throughout the renovation period. Guests enjoy a nominal cart fee of $12 for unlimited holes during the renovation period, while members enjoy $8 cart fees. In addition, members will have reciprocal access to more than 20 local clubs throughout the local area. Construction tours will be available throughout the renovation period.
