WGC-CA Championship Offers Young Fans Free Admission

WGC-CA ChampionshipIn an effort to attract more families to TPC Blue Monster at Doral for the World Golf Championships-CA Championship, tournament officials have extended the youth admission policy for 2010.

All children 18 years of age and under, accompanied by a ticket-holding adult, will be admitted to the grounds free of charge Tuesday-Sunday of tournament week. Should the accompanying adult have a clubhouse ticket, the youth can be upgraded to a clubhouse ticket for $10. The CA Championship returns to TPC Blue Monster at Doral next week, March 9-14.

“It is our goal to make the on-site experience at the CA Championship an enjoyable one for golf fans of all ages,” said CA Championship Executive Director Eddie Carbone. “By extending our complimentary youth policy to include kids 18 and under, we hope to make the CA Championship a more affordable entertainment option for families throughout South Florida.”

The CA Championship introduced a youth policy for the first time in 2009, inviting kids 13 and under accompanied by a ticketed adult to attend the tournament free of charge. Fans can purchase tickets to the 2010 event by visiting www.worldgolfchampionships.com.

Officials also announced that the 2010 CA Championship will again give students a chance to attend for free. Students will be allowed on site free of charge by showing a valid student ID after 3 p.m. Additionally, students will be able to purchase premium tickets at reduced rates if they wish to attend for a full day or purchase weeklong packages.

"We know that the college crowd is very interested in golf, but often times they do not have the opportunity to attend tournaments," said Carbone. "The CA Championship provides a treat for all of these students and is an amazing way to enhance their spring breaks.”
