Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am at TPC Tampa Bay

Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am at TPC Tampa BayRecollections of the Past; Glimpses of the Future

  • Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am Champions Tour at TPC Tampa Bay April 12th - 18th

Whether it is the memory of three-time major winner Nick Price taking home his first ever Champions Tour title, the emotional finish of award-winning actor Michael J. Fox as he made his final putt on the 18th green or comedian/actor Bill Murray’s hysterical attempt to make light of his accidental hook shot that hit a fan; the 2009 Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am will be hard to top. Though it seems impossible, the premier Champions Tour event looks to reach new heights in 2010.

Celebrities will once again excite spectators with their “up close and personal” crowd interaction throughout the week and weekend. This year, golf legends and Champions Tour rookies, such as Paul Azinger and Corey Pavin, will join high profile celebrities, including funny man George Lopez, country songwriter/singer Vince Gill, former NFL quarterbacks Vinny Testaverde and Joe Theismann.

Tampa Bay’s own Derrick Brooks and Rondé Barber will also join up to kick off a new decade at the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am. Other notable sports personalities and stars of movies and television are expected to participate.

The Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am puts a unique twist to its version of “Amen Corner.” The Green-Hopper Party Pass allows entrance into three different hospitality venues on Holes #11, #16 and #17. Each venue offers VIP golf viewing and spectacular hospitality including featured drinks and light Aussie-Tizers®.

Hole 11, a par 3, is the “Coke Zero Soda Shack”. The Par 4-16th “Red Stag by Jim Beam Stag’s Trail,” and the par-3 17th hole is the home of the “Michelob Ultra Watering Hole”.

Complimentary Coca-Cola products, Anheuser-Bush drafts and premium specialty cocktails will be featured at the VIP hospitality venues.

The party atmosphere will carry on to the final hole as the famous Billabong Club, located on the 18th green, continues to be one of the most popular choices for corporate hospitality on the Champions Tour.

New in 2010 is the Military Bunker presented by JCI Jones Chemicals, Inc. located on the 18th fairway. This complimentary venue will allow military and their families with proper identification, to enjoy reduced priced concessions and great golf viewing. (Active military receive free admission.) Spectators will feast on food from the various OSI Restaurant Partners, LLC concepts. Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Lee Roy Selmon’s will create the infamous “Food Court” behind the practice range where golf fans will be able to sample the various specialties from each of the restaurants.
