The Champions' Club at Fox Hollow

The Champions’ Club at Fox HollowEvery once in a while, it happens. The right combination of beautiful property, creative vision and the genius of a legend cross paths at
exactly the right moment, and a one-of-a-kind community is born.

Blended into this neighborhood is a perfect mix of luxury and privacy, recreation and relaxation. Even the most discriminating golfers, and golf community connoisseurs, should consider the possibilities available here.

It has all come together, in a unique combination of daily-fee golf and luxurious golf homes, at The Champions’ Club Community at Fox Hollow. Just as you don’t have to be a golfer to love the lifestyle of The Champions’ Club, you don’t have to live within its gates, or be a member of the club, to enjoy the thrills of playing the last course designed and built by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., one of the most prolific and innovative golf course designers of all time, working with longtime associate Roger Rulewich.

Fox HollowThe par-71, championship layout is as picturesque as it is playable. Five sets of tees and varied landing areas offer new challenges every time you play, mixing woods and water, bunkers and wildlife. Jones’ rolling fairways are a delightful departure from the flat-as-Florida layouts you’ll find elsewhere in the region. But what has many visiting golfers who play other courses in the area talking are the new SeaDwarf Seashore Paspalum greens that roll fast and true 365 days-a-year because they don’t have to be over-seeded in the cooler weather. Head Golf Professional Matthew Coté even offers an unsolicited tip on playing Jones’ undulating greens with the new turfgrass. “While the greens won’t appear that much quicker, they’ll roll out an extra few feet,” he says. “So be careful on those downhill putts or you’ll face some lengthy comebackers.”

If trophies and awards are what you’re looking for, the Tampa Tribune has put Fox Hollow on its list of the top three public-access courses in all of west-central Florida, and Central Florida Magazine says the 18th hole, with its forced carry off the tee and water running the entire length of the hole on both sides of the fairway, is simply the “Best Par 4 in Florida”. Water comes into play on 11 of the holes and Jones’ other signature feature- plentiful, profound and penal bunker complexes- abound.

But Fox Hollow isn’t just an intriguing layout, it’s a grand golf experience. The 15,000 square-foot clubhouse is home to an expansive golf shop, locker rooms, private meeting rooms, the Tavern on the Green bar and grille and a new 3,100 square-foot upscale function space called Windows on the Green for private parties, receptions and dinners, all catered by Fox Hollow’s professional events staff. The clubhouse opens onto a large chipping and putting green, practice bunker and driving range, where lessons are available from Fox Hollow’s excellent staff of PGA teaching pros.

A Touch of Luxury

Champions’ Club at Fox Hollow “Advantage”The course came first, but unlike many other golf course communities where the homes are added in later, these elegant single-family custom homes actually enhance the golf experience at The Champions’ Club, not detract from it. The stunning landscaping inside the gated community enhances the beauty of the course and does not intrude on play, while offering a private club lifestyle of pastimes and privileges all its own, overlooking the undulating fairways and sparkling lakes.

The Champions’ Club at Fox Hollow “Advantage”

The kicker is that while families in The Champions’ Club enjoy the great views of Fox Hollow while they avail themselves of facilities offered at the exquisite new $4-million, 10,000 square-foot clubhouse with its pool, massage and spa treatments, tennis pavilion and state-of-the-art workout room, they’re not paying for a “country club” golf membership, unless they want to. Fox Hollow’s Tavern on the Green restaurant serves lunch on the pool deck and quiet veranda at The Champions’ Club, but the two clubhouses, and memberships, are separate.

What separates The Champions’ Club from other communities is the opportunity to belong – to get to know and enjoy neighbors through regular events scheduled by the clubhouse staff to bring families together. Whether a Fourth of July picnic or a Super Bowl party, the club is a happening place with something for everyone, including lots of new friends. And the club’s concierge can conveniently arrange for any number of specialty services, from personal fitness training to spa treatments, tennis lessons or even dry cleaning. The goal at The Champions’ Club is to make the members-only clubhouse an extension of your home, where you can feel totally at ease and welcome any time.
