ABOUT BIRDIES FOR THE BRAVE

The Birdies for the Brave charitable program is the PGA TOUR Charity Group's primary vehicle for supporting the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families who have suffered the loss of a loved one in combat or one that has been seriously injured in performance of their duty. Since 2005, the PGA TOUR has joined with PGA TOUR players and corporate partners to raise millions of dollars for military home front groups through fundraising events at Tournament Players Clubs (TPC) and Heritage Golf Clubs. Giving back is at the heart of the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Charities and the TPC Tampa Bay Birdies for the Brave Foundation. PGA TOUR Charities, Inc. and Birdies for the Brave Tampa Bay, Inc. are non-profit charitable organizations recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code. The 2012 primary charities supported by the PGA Charities Group are: United Through Reading; Homes for our Troops; Special Operations Warrior Foundation; Wounded Warrior Project; Operation Home Front; The Navy SEAL Foundation; Special Forces Foundation; and Military Warriors Support Foundation. In addition to the national effort, your Tampa Bay Birdies for the Brave Foundation will be providing a percentage of its proceeds to local area veterans foundations.
