FSGA - Florida Junior Tour Results - Ironhorse CC

Jeffrey Meltzer and Madison Opfer grabbed first place honors at the Florida Junior Tour's (FJT) 16-18 age division event at Ironhorse Country Club in West Palm Beach, September 17-18.

Jeffrey Meltzer, of Bradenton, prevailed in a playoff for his first career victory. After an impressive first round of five-under par 67, Meltzer would take a three stroke lead heading into the final round. In the final round, Meltzer carded a three-over par 75, to find himself tied with Logan Lanier, of Saint Augustine. Lanier posted rounds of 70-72 for a tournament total of two-under par 142.  The players would head for a sudden death playoff, where Meltzer would sink his birdie putt on the first playoff hole for the victory. Ramsey Touchberry, of Bradenton, finished alone in third place after rounds of 70-73, for a tournament total of one-under par 143.


In the Girls 16-18 Division, Madison Opfer, of Plant City, erased a three stroke deficit for her fourth career FJT title. Opfer posted a first round of six-over par 78 to trail the leaders by three strokes heading into the final round.  In the final round, Opfer posted a three-under par round of 69, to hold on for a one stroke victory. Annie Dulman, of Palm Beach Gardens, finished alone in second place with a tournament total of four-over par 148.  Ashley Malinchak, of Parkland, finished in third place with tournament total of 150.
